Internal alterations had also been permitted by the municipality before the KZN Heritage Act (10/1997) was implemented.

A single storied house with articulated and hipped front veranda and pediment. Built in 1910 it exhibits Edwardian Vernacular character with side-hung casement windows with fanlights above.
