Architectural Significance: a heavily rusticated and arcuated base supports two additional floors, with a veranda and arched window openings on the first floor with less significant decoration on the second floor.  A heavily moulded corner tower and ceremonial staircase leading to the first floor add to the grandeur of the building.  Social/Religious/educational Significance: the school was founded by Catholic nuns in 1903 and the building was added to by the Italian Prisoners of War in 1944.
