SAS6986 - Wollie se Gat Pipeline and Pump Station Basic Assessment Process, Secunda

Sasol Mining (Pty) Ltd Twistdraai Export Plant (TEP) intends to establish and operate a pumping station, pipeline and associated infrastructure at Wollie se Gat in Secunda in the Mpumalanga Province. The pipeline will extend approximately 380m between Wollie se Gat and the solution trench at the Twistdraai Discard Dump.
Wollie se Gat is an old quarry established in the early 1980s and which includes construction rubble and associated waste. This quarry has filled with water and is prone to overflowing in heavy and/or extended rainfall events and has the potential to contaminate a nearby wetland. This Project intends to avoid or minimise this contamination.
