National Treasure Minerals (Pty) Ltd (the applicant) applied for a prospecting right for heavy minerals, monazite, rare earths, rutile, zirconium ore, zircon (gemstone), copper ore and apatite (gemstone) to the Regional Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (“DMRE” Western Cape Region) in respect of the remaining extent of portion 65 the farm Uilklip and the remaining extent of portion 74 the farm Roodewal in the West Coast District Municipality within the Matzikama Local Municipality in the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
