Proposal Description
The project will entail the following:
• Two mating and gilts pig units (14.925m x 11.5m) will be constructed with capacity for 500 pigs per house.
• Two gestation pig units (54.3m x 11.5m) will be constructed with capacity for 500 pigs per house
• Two farrowing pig units (23.925m x 11.5m) will be constructed with capacity for 500 pigs per house
• Two weaner pig units (13m x 11.5m) will be constructed with capacity for 500 pigs per house
• Four finisher pig units (42m x 11.5m) will be constructed with a capacity for 500 pigs per house.
• A water tank and a silo for food will be constructed next to each house with underground pipelines connecting the water tanks with the existing water supply.
• The area will be fenced with a 2.4m electric fence and a gate with biosecurity measures will provide access to the site.
