Tambuka (Pty) Ltd has applied for Coal Mining Permit in terms of the Minerals and Petroleum Resource Development Act (MPRDA), No 28 of 2002. Mining Permits are legally limited to an extent of 5 ha and a maximum mining period of three years inclusive of a one year renewal option, The proposed Tambuka site is situated approximately 08 km north west of Carolina town, in the Chief Albert Luthuli Local Municipality, Gert Sibande District in Mpumalanga Province. The mining permit application area is a 5 ha on Portion of remaining extent of the farm Blenheim 5 IT.
