Tambuka (Pty) Ltd has applied for Coal Mining Permit in terms of the Minerals and Petroleum Resource Development Act (MPRDA), No 28 of 2002. Mining Permits are legally limited to an extent of 5 ha and a maximum mining period of three years inclusive of a one year renewal option, The proposed Tambuka site is situated approximately 05 Kilometres south east of Van Dykdrift, in the Steve Tshwete Local Municipality, Nkangala District, Mpumalanga Province. The mining permit application area is a 5 ha on Portion of Portion 16 of the farm Haasfontein 28 IS.
