Venetia Mine Integrated Regulatory Process

The De Beers Group appointed Digby Wells Environmental to complete an Integrated Regulatory Process (IRP) to obtain the necessary Environmental Authorisation (EA) for additional infrastructure required for the proposed conversion from an open pit to underground mining operation. De Beers received the EA for the proposed conversion prior to this application.
As part of the IRP, Digby Wells compiled a consolidated Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) based on the results of previous heritage assessments within the Venetia Mining Right (MR) and assessed impacts that may present risk of impact to identified heritage resources posed by the additional infrastructure only.
