Proposal Description
The proposed addition is to match the existing home internally. The new light-weight external clip-on element aims to read as a more contemporary addition, while continuing to utilize the red facebrick to match the existing buildings plinth surround.
The proposal is to also reuse the existing timber windows where possible, while additional doors and windows will be aluminum ones which are less prone to element damage, requiring less maintenance. The color of these will adopt a darker anthracite grey to emphasis a contrast between new/contemporary and the old/original.
In light of the above, we look forward to receiving a favorable response and Amafa's approval of this proposal. (64 Chelsea Drive, Durban North, Ethekwini, KwaZulu Natal)
