Proposal Description
Cornelius Johannes establish a small-scale salt mining operation. The activity will involve pumping salt water (Brine) from underground by means of boreholes, the water will be pumped to evaporation ponds.
Salt will be recovered by means of evaporation of the salt water (Brine) through a series of evaporation ponds. When crystallisation of salt has taken place, the salt will be removed from the ponds, then stockpiled on site. The salt crystals will be packaged into bags of 50kg. Proposed hectares is 5 located in Vaalbank 581, Soutpan, Brandfort Municipality, Free State
