Development of additional onsite supporting infrastructure on Sky Chrome Mining

Sky Chrome seeks to amend the current approved Environmental Management Programme (EMPr) (DMRE Reference Number: NW30/5/1/2/3/2/1/478MR) and Water Use Licence (DWS Reference number:03/A21J/ACGIJ/2755). The purpose for the amendment is to develop additional onsite supporting infrastructure and update the approved Environmental Management Plan, close the gaps identified upon SAMANCOR acquiring Sky Chrome mine. The amendment is to include:
 Mining on non-perennials stream and associated flood lines
 Mining of the outcrop that was excluded ( insitu )
 Clearing of vegetation more than 1000 hectors to include the following infrastructure:
• Workshop, office buildings and parking area
• Crushing pad
• Waste Rock dump
• Temporary Ore Stockpile Pads
• Topsoil stockpile area
• Security fencing
• Water pipeline
• Road to transport Ore.
• Security Access Area
• Haul Road to transport Ore
