Proposal Description
We aim to analyze site formation processes and the stratigraphic integrity of the upper section at Holley Shelter namely the layers AVA, BIB, DF and EDG.
For this purpose we apply for permission to export 6 micromorphology samples wrapped in plaster of paris from the KZN Museum in Pietermaritzburg tp Tübingen, Germany. The samples will be soaked in resin, cut into thin sections and analyzed by Prof Christopher Miller. After the analysis the blocks will be repatriated to South Africa.
