Proposed Up to 240MW Mooivlei Solar 2 Photovoltaic Project west of Kroonstad, Free State Province.

Mooivlei Solar 2 (Pty) Ltd (the “Applicant”) has proposed the development of the Mooivlei 2 up to 240MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Project near Kroonstad, in the Free State Province (the “Project”). The Project is located approximately 10km to the west of Kroonstad’s central business district (CBD) and falls within Ward 7 of the Moqhaka Local Municipality (MLM). The electricity generated by the Project will be injected into the Eskom National Grid system via the 275kV powerlines loop in loop out (LILO) between the proposed Eskom substation/switching station and the existing 275 kV powerlines (the LILO and Eskom substation/switching station form part of a separate application)
