THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT OF GENESIS KEIMOES NORTH SOLAR AND ASSOCIATED INFRASTRUCTURE, NEAR KEIMOES, NORTHERN CAPE PROVINCE

Genesis Eco-Energy Developments (Pty) Ltd is proposing the development of a photovoltaic (PV) solar facilities located within the Kai ! Garib Local Municipality and the ZF Mgcawu District Municipality, Northern Cape Province. The project is proposed as part of a cluster along with the Genesis Keimoes South Solar, which will be located directly adjacent. The proposed development is located on Portions 36, 37 and 38 of the Farm Eenduin 465 located approximately 12 km southeast of the town of Keimoes. The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 1200 MW. An area of approximately 3600 hectares is under assessment for development.
