Proposed opencast mining at the Millsell Waterkloof Sections

Samancor Chrome Ltd proposes opencast mining for the Millsell Waterkloof Sections and associated infrastructure. the project is located in the North West and is on an existing mining right area. Proposed infrastructure includes opencast pit, overburden dumps, topsoil stockpiles, haul roads, crushing and screening plant with ROM stockpile. A Section 102 application in terms of the MPRDA is also made for the inclusion of Portion 528 of the Farm Waterkloof into the existing mining right, NW, 236 MR, for underground mining.
