Proposal Description
Sediment samples were collected from the Lombards Drift Horse Camp spring site to determine its age using optically stimulated luminescence dating (OSL) of quartz, and to reconstruct its paleoenvironments using magnetic susceptibility (MS) and the analysis of plant lipid biomarkers (B). Based on the results of these analyses, we will decide whether to expand the excavations in 2024.
