Proposal Description
The applicant, eThekwini Municipality: Human Settlements Unit proposes the construction of 161 lowcost
residential units located on the property described as Portion 14 of Erf 6 of Inanda within eThekwini
Municipality (Ward 03).
The extent of the property is 23.0823 Ha of which only 10.5 Ha will be developed. The site is zoned as
Agriculture. Each unit will be serviced with electricity via the existing municipal connection and potable
water via a yard stand. On-site sanitation in the form of Improved Ventilated Pit Latrines with Urine
Diversion (VIDP) will be provided for the proposed development as there is no municipal bulk sewerage
reticulation in the area. The site is geographically located as follows: S29°39'32.22" and E30°56'9.44", ethekwini KZN
