I am requesting to temporarily export some (~50%) of the material to the University of Toronto for further investigation. A total of 13- ½ full medium sized Ziploc bags (~ 8 x 11) of faunal material, 4- ½ full bags of OES, 1- ½ full bag of pottery sherds, and 1- ½ full bag of OES beads were selected for further analysis. Spitzkloof A - All of the material remains from the site of Spitzkloof A have been analyzed and returned to South Africa. The only material that has not been analyzed are the final 3 medium sized Ziploc bags (~ 8 x 11) of faunal material. I am requesting to export these final 3 bags of Spitzkloof A faunal material to our lab at the University of Toronto (Dewar Lab) for analysis. Once this analysis is finished the documentation of the site will be complete and the material will be sent to the Kimberley Museum in the Northern Cape.
