Object Description
A single block of red-brown Elliot Formation fine-grained sandstone matrix containing a partially articulated skeleton of a likely crocodylomorph identified as a possible aetosaur when first collected.
Provenance
From British SA site 27, Kromme Spruit 9, but also lists Majuba's Nek. this area has abundant Elliot Formation outcrop. Note that the matrix suggests strongly that the specimen is from the upper Elliot Formation.

Distinguishing Features
An irregularly shaped block of fine grained sandstone of a reddish brown color with a curled skeleton of a small vertebrate exposed along surface. The skeleton bears multiple visible osteoderms and has a well-prepared foot and ankle region.

The block has a maximum dimension of 24cm, a maximum width of 20cm, and a thickness of approximately 5cm.
