    REDUNDANT ASSET- Identical locomotive of this class, Class A number 103, is preserved at the Transnet Transport Museum in George and forms part of the locomotive display inside the museum. The history of this class is captured in the publication "Locomotives of the South African Railways by Leith Paxton and David Bourne, which is kept in the museum for reference purposes. Above information is also in safe custody at the Transnet Heritage Library.
