    Object Description

    REDUNDANT ASSET- An identical locomotive of this class, Class H2 # 330 , is preserved at the Transnet Transport Museum in George and forms part of the locomotive collection on display. The history of this class is captured in the publications " Locomotives of the South African railways" by Leith Paxton and David Bourne as well as "railways of Southern Africa 150 years" by Jean Dulez, which are kept for reference purposes. Original locomotive drawings and other information relating to this class is in safe custody at the Transnet heritage Library.
