According to the results of the Test Pit Excavations it can be concluded that the proposed development of the Samy's Wholesalers Warehouse Expansion will not impact on any heritage resource, including the inferred cemetery site. It is recommended that development can proceed without any delays.SAHRA'S Burial Grounds and Grave Unit is satisfied and accepts the findings of the Final Permit Report submitted.According point 4 of the Final Decision it is recommended that monitoring of the area should be upheld incase human remains are uncovered during development.If such a discovery is made the Burial Grounds and Graves Unit should be notified by contacting I. Masiteng at our Pretoria office.
