Final Comment
The SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology and Meteorites (APM) Unit cannot endorse this proposed EA application and advises the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy (DMRE) to reject the application for Prospecting Rights activities on Farm 486, near Postmasburg, Northern Cape Province (NC30/5/1/1/2/12710 PR) as no assessment of the impact to heritage resources that complies with section 38(3) of the NHRA as required by section 38(8) of the NHRA and section 24(4)b(iii) of NEMA has been conducted as part of the EA application process.
This comment must be forwarded directly to the competent authorities and proof of the submission and receipt thereof must be provided to SAHRA.
