Interim CommentThe SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology, and Meteorites (APM) notes the submission of the HIA however, an assessment of palaeontological resources has not been carried out and the proposed orchards and crop lands are underlain by moderately sensitive rock strata. According to the SAHRIS palaeomap policy, a desktop palaeontological study was supposed to be undertaken by a suitably qualified palaeontologist and a report of the findings were supposed to be submitted to SAHRA for comments.SAHRA will comment further on the proposed development once the desktop PIA is submitted to the case.
