Interim CommentThe SAHRA Archaeology, Palaeontology, and Meteorites (APM) Unit cannot provide an informed comment because the development area is incorrectly mapped using a point symbol and not a polygon to show the complete extent of the proposed development area. Also, an assessment of impacts to palaeontological resources has not been carried out and submitted to SAHRA for comment.The SAHRA requires an assessment of palaeontological resources by a suitably qualified palaeontologist to be undertaken and the subsequent Palaeontological Impact Assessment (PIA) report is submitted to the case for commenting.SAHRA will comment on the case on submission of a desktop/field based PIA depending on the complete sensitivity of the development area, and an amended .kml file that maps the development area using a polygon and not a point. As well as, a the EIAr to the case.
