Final Decisions
The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) Archaeology, Palaeontology and Meteorites (APM) Unit accepts the HMP submitted for the long term management of sites close to and within the VLNR and access road. The following conditions add to, endorse and are an addition to the conditions contained in the Final Comment on case id 16066:The monthly monitoring of all heritage resources by the archaeologist appointed for the project.The monthly monitoring of the palaeontologist for all construction activities near the palaeontological feature.The demarcation of sites located close to the access road and lodges and the placement of notices for visitors to be aware of the presences of heritage resources for educational and conservation purposes.A monitoring report must be compiled and submitted quarterly to SAHRA until construction ends. If the annual review of the HMP is undertaken and any amendments result from the review then the amended HMP must be submitted to SAHRA.
