Interim Comment
SAHRA notes the submitted heritage specialist reports. While the PIA is accepted, the submitted HIA is not accepted. The report does not comply with section 38(3) of the NHRA or the 2007 Minimum Standards: Archaeological and Palaeontological Components of Impact Assessments.
SAHRA requests that a field-based HIA is compiled by a qualified heritage specialist (see www.asapa.co.za or www.aphp.org.za for a list of qualified archaeologists). Further comments will be issued upon receipt of the DEIA inclusive of appendices and the above requested report.
