Kitty is described as follows: A tank type steam locomotive with a 460 wheel arrangement, built in 1879 by the firm Kitson & Company of Leeds, England, with manufacturer's number 2259. The numbers 13, 47 and 62 have been allocated to it consecutively and at present it again bears the number 13.
