Description "Het Gesticht", Paarl, being certain portion of Erf Vreede, now known as Erf 3578, Paarl, with the building thereon, in extent 16 square roods, and held under Deed of Transfer 2/1814, dated 7 January 1814. Historical Interest This building was erected in 1813 to serve as an "oefeningshuis" for religious instruction, catechism classes and prayer meetings for non-White. It is the fourth oldest church building in South Africa.
