The historic oak avenue, approximately 6,84 kilometres in length, situate on a piece of land known as the Town and Townlands of Potchefstroom, situate in the District of Potchefstroom, which is described as follows:
(1) From the entrance to the Dam Recreation Resort in a southerly direction via Calderbank Lane, Tom Street and Van Riebeeck Street to the corner of Van Riebeeck and Retief Streets;
(2) from the corner of Van Riebeeck and Retief Street in a westerly direction via Retief Street to the corner of Retief and Kruger Streets;
(3) from the corner of Retief and Kruger Streets in a southerly direction via Kruger Street to the corner of Kruger and Wolmarans Streets;
(4) from the corner of Kruger and Wolmarans Streets in a westerly direction via Wolmarans Street to the corner of Wolmarans and Kock Streets;
(5) from the corner of Wolmarans and Kock Streets in a southerly direction via Kock Street to the corner of Kock and Botha Streets;
(6) from the corner of Kock and Botha Streets in a westerly direction via Botha Street to the entrance to the Agricultural Research Institute.
