The shelter with the rock paintings, being a national monument area, in extent 392 square metres. situated on a portion of Subdivision 1 (Elthan) of the farm Tandjesberg 1, in the District of Clocolan, as indicated by the figure ABCD on Survey Diagram SG 427/1992, dated 27 May 1992, filed in the office of the Surveyor-General at Bloemfontein and on File 9/2/308/1 in the office of the National Monuments Council at Cape Town.
