Interim Comment
SAHRA requests that a desktop-based PIA is compiled by a qualified Palaeontologist. The PIA must comply with the 2012 Minimum Standards: Palaeontological Components of Heritage Impact Assessments. Additionally, SAHRA requests an addendum to the HIA be provided that shows the exact results for the Sheba development, including a zoomed in map of the identified heritage resources, and clear recommendations as it is not clear as to the specific recommendations for the identified heritage within the Sheba development area.
The applicant is advised to extend the EA process in terms of section 19(1)b of the NEMA EIA regulations in order to address this comment.
