Statement of Significance

Adam Kok III's laager site is the only Griqua Battle and Fort site that is still well preserved and that has research potential since the outer boundary of the laager site has never been identified. The site also consists of a monument, a living heritage site visited by the Griqua Community annually, look-out posts and several graves. The site was also a battlefield site.
