Statement of Significance

15 Church street, also known as Mimosa Lodge is a double storeyed building dating to the last years of the 19th century, although an earlier dwelling possibly dating c.1860 may have been included in the present building. The building is situated in one of the main thoroughfares of Montagu and is currently being used as a guesthouse. Although largely altered internally, elements of the Victorian front façade survive, and the building represent an important element within the broader context of the historical Church Street.
