The Shri Siva Subramanier & Marriamman Aulayam is the oldest place of Hindu worship in the Eastern Cape. As is to be expected, it has grown throughout the years, but apart from the face brick portico to the oldest temple, its integrity remains intact. The temple is still used on religious festivals and serves as a reminder of the spirit of the vibrant community that was once the old South End.
