Statement of Significance

This impressive dwelling, which was erected during the first decade of the twentieth century by Hugo Naudé, the well-known artist, as home and studio, is predominantly in the neo-Classical idiom. He lived here until his death on 5 April 1941. In particular, the pedimented front gable is noteworthy.
