This small church with its Gothic Features was erected between 1865 and 1866. Its was designed by Rev. Dirk Postma, first minister of the Gereformeerde Kerk in South Africa. It is one of the first churches built by the Gereformeerde Kerk. This simple work of artistic beauty with its thatched roof and arched timber windows are worthy of preservation. Therefore its protection will go a long way to conscientize the public about the necessity of heritage conservation.
