Lost together with the Oosterland at the Salt River Mouth. Homeward bound from the East. Driven ashore on the evening of 24 May in a great gale. Went to pieces at once.

Between the Waddingsveen (only 6 survivors) and the Oosterland only 17 were saved. About 400 lives were lost. The survivors included clergyman Hendrik Willen Gordon, famous in Amboina history.
