Very poor levels of surface exposure (most data obtained from borehole cores)
Apparently no Beaufort Group / Molteno equivalents (cf other Limpopo Karoo Supergroup basins)
Important plant fossil locality at Hammanskraal on Limpopo / Gauteng border
