The Pax Nova Hall

The Pax Nova Hall is situated next to the Roman Catholic Church and the St. Bernard School in Bochabela Location (Bloemfontein). In most cases during the 1980s and the 1990s, the hall was used for political and community meetings. Its centrality in the Mangaung Township made it easily accessible for such meetings. Marches either organized by the ANC, PAC or AZAPO usually started at this hall. To date the hall is still used for such purposes. To show the importance of the site, next to it at the entry gate, a Free Youth Martyr memorial has been erected by the Free State Provincial Government.
