The permit application in respect of the above, received on the 18 January 2024 reviewed by the KwaZulu-Natal Amafa and Research Institute (The Institute) on the 31 January 2024.

Please be advised as follows:

Discussion

It was noted that proposed work had already been undertaken. The google maps images (May 2023) depicts the proposed exterior work as per the submitted plans. 

Further requirements:

  1. You are required to submit images of what is currently existing on site (all four sides of the property and internal spaces where alterations are proposed).
  2. Form I and applicable fee of R10 000 must be submitted for the work that had been undertaken without a permit.
  3. Updated plans for Form A (if there is proposed work that still need to be undertaken) and Form I plans must be submitted. 

Written responses/requests for reconsideration of the application or consideration of new information must be loaded to the case on Sahris (email [email protected]).

Required additional information or revised drawings must be submitted within six months from the date of this letter or the application will lapse, and a new application will be required.

THIS LETTER DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FORMAL APPROVAL OF THE PROPOSAL SUBMITTED TO THE INSTITUTE.  UNAUTHORISED WORK CARRIED OUT ON THE ABOVE SITE WILL BE IN CONTRAVENTION OF THE KWAZULU-NATAL AMAFA AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE ACT (5 of 2018).
