    It consists of a partially exposed Perna perna midden. The depth below the surface and the lack of other artefacts apart from marine shell indicates that we may once more be dealing with a Stone Age midden.There was a test pit excavation

      MPE 199 is located on the first dune cordon from the ocean; it was exposed by drilling activity and is visible in the drilling platform side cutting, approximately 70cm below the surface
