The SAHRA Development Applications Unit has no objection to the relaxation of the buffer zone from 100m down to 30m on condition that the appointed archaeological team does weekly monitoring visits to the site to ensure the grave is not impacted further, and that if additional material culture or human remains are exposed in the area outside the 30m buffer zone then the necessary interventions are carried out after SAHRA is informed.
The monitoring activities must be included in the Final Permit report.
