The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) reviewed your application.
Please be advised as follows:
- The SAHRA was unable to consider the merits of the application as the work had already commenced and is now completed.
- As a result, a permit cannot be issued retrospectively.
- The SAHRA would like to draw your attention to the fact that your failure to obtain a permit prior to the commencement of work, is in contravention of Section 27(18) of the NHRA, and as per Section 51(1)(a) of the NHRA you may be liable to a fine or imprisonment or both.
- However, SAHRA has decided to condone your failure to obtain a permit as required on condition that the work done was conducted strictly in accordance with the documentation submitted:

SAHRA reminds the applicant to adhere to the necessary procedures regarding changes to National Heritage Sites, as per Section 27(18) of the National Heritage Resources Act (NHRA) no 25 of 1999.
