    The Adams Outpost Building was constructed in 1887 and moved to the Fort Nongqayi Museum Village in 1997.

    The following buildings are also located on the same site:

    1.  Fort Nongqayi - Built in 1884
    2. Vukani Museum, built around 1999/2000 to house the Vukani collection
    3. The Fort Nongqayi Museum Mission Chapel that houses the Museum's Norwegian collection

    The combined Village operates as a unified Museum complex after the Merger of the formerly indpendent Vukani Museum with the Zululand Hisotrical Museum
