Palm Chrome Mining Right

Notice is hereby given in terms of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Act (Act No.28 of 2002) (as amended) (“MPRDA’) and its associated Regulations, the National Environmental Management Act (Act No 107 Of 1998) (as amended) (NEMA) (incl. the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations 2014 (as amended), the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008 (NEMWA) (incl. the List of Waste Management Activities contained in Government Notice (GN) 921) and the National Water Act (Act No. 36 of 19980 (“NWA”), that Palm Chrome (Pty) Ltd has applied for a Mining Right on the Farm Palmietfontein 208 JP (Portions 2,3 4, 5, 6), Moses Kotane Local Municipality, Bojanala Platinum Magisterial District in the Northwest province. The site is located approximately 55km Northwest of the town of Rustenburg and adjacent to Mahobieskraal. Palm Chrome (Pty) Ltd was awarded a Prospecting Right (NW 30/5/1/1/2/12471 PR) (10621 PR) and operates under a Mining Permit (NW 30/5/1/3/2/10615 MP) on Portion 6. The proposed footprint is 480 ha (inclusive of the existing 5 ha Mining Permit) within the proposed MRA of 3239.8 ha.
