The Proposed Guarri Photovoltaic Solar Energy Facility and Associated Infrastructure near Brits, North-West Province

The Applicant, WKN Windcurrent SA (Pty) Ltd, is proposing the construction of a photovoltaic (PV) solar energy facility (known as the Guarri Solar Energy Facility (“Guarri SEF”)) located on Portions 24, 26, 27, 29 and 30 of the Farm Blaauwbank No. 241, Registration Division JQ, approximately 18 km north of the town of Brits in the North-West Province. The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 80 MW. The development area is situated within the Madibeng Local Municipality within the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality.
