Interim Comment
The South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) notes the submission of the permit application with supporting documents.
However, the SAHRA request the applicant to:
- re-do consultation by placing notices in the language(s) of the local area (not just English) for another 60 days;
- upload attendance register(s) and minutes of the meeting held during the consultation process;
- provide images of the site notices placed on site and public areas;
- Written consent of the property(s) owner where the site is located;
- confirm if the mining development was subjected to an Environmental Authorisation (EA) application process, including a Heritage Impact Assessment. If so, please provide the Case ID number, and upload the EA if not already provided in the aforementioned application.
