APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR CLEARING OF INDIGENOUS VEGETATION FOR THE UPGRADING OF STORMWATER IN GOEDEHOOP, NONCEBA AND LOSMYTJERRIE, WITHIN MOSES KOTANE LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, NORTHWEST PROVINCE

Project Description and Location
The proposed development entails the construction and upgrading of the stormwater system with the Geodehoop Losmytjerrie Nonceba Villages. The proposed developments are located in the following farms and central coordinates:
• Nonceba Village, on a portion of the farm Welverdiend 266 KP and Welgeval 267 KP - 24°56'5.13"S 26°43'10.06"E
• Losmytjerrie Village, on a portion of the farm Welgeval 267 KP - 24°55'38.84"S 26°40'48.40"E.
• Goedehoop Village, on portion 1 and the remaining extent of the farm Goedehoop 245 KP - 24°54'9.65"S 26°41'24.87"E.

The construction and upgrading of the stormwater system at the Goedehoop Losmytjerrie
Nonceba Villages, these will include:
 Construction of new gabions, reno mattress and stormwater channel;
 Construction of vehicle access slab across the open channel;
 Rehabilitation of existing stormwater detention ponds;
 Construction of culvert structures with suitable concrete footings, wing walls, concrete
slabs and parapets
 Construction of erosion protection measures;
 Construction of stone pitching;
 Earthworks for berms and stormwater drains;
 Site clearance and cleaning of the existing drainage structures;
 Transport of materials and debris to specified sites and dumps;
 Construction of pavement layers at the graveyard entrance; and
 Stock-proof fencing along the open drains and installation of pedestrian-proof fence with
gates at the detention pond
