Ekamadanga 5 (Pty) Ltd Prospecting Right Application

It is Ekamadanga 5 (Pty) Ltd intention to apply for a Prospecting Right in terms of Section 24 of the NEMA, 1998 read with Regulation 19 of the EIA Regulations, 2014 and in terms of Section 16 of the Minerals and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002 (Act No. 28 of 2002) (MPRDA), as amended by Section 12 of the MPRDA, 2008 (Act No. 49 of 2008), for the environmental authorisation of prospecting activities for the coal/pseudocoal mineral. The extent of the area applied for; under the ambit of the prospecting right is approximately 5 001.90 hectares. The proposed prospecting activities are located in Wards 1 of the Nqutu Local Municipality
(uMzinyathi) and Ward 2 of the Nkandla Local Municipality (King Cetshwayo DM).
